Hey folks, I just noticed that we got a very positive review of Real World InDesign CS5 at amazon.com:

      https://www.amazon.ca/Real-Worl…..0321713052

Not sure why it was only 4 stars, as there were no negative comments about the book.

We need some more positive reviews up there! Can you help? If you have Real World InDesign CS5, and you like it, please do us a favor and tell the book-buying world about it at Amazon, BN.com, or wherever you enjoy buying books.

      Thank you!

And, while you're at it, don't forget to look at some of the other great InDesign books on the market, such as Michael Murphy's “Adobe InDesign CS4 Styles: How to Create Better, Faster Text and Layouts” and Sandee Cohen's “InDesign CS5 for Macintosh and Windows: Visual QuickStart Guide”

Also just noticed Pariahs' new book (Mastering InDesign CS5 for Print Design and Production) is available for preorder. That's cool.

Je ne parlez pas Francais monsieur Blatner. ;) There is a 5* rating on that Canadian site though.

Off-topic: It kind of ticks me off to see the Kindle version's more expensive than the paperback one. Not that I can use any kind of ebooks right now, but still…

And back on-topic: I haven't read those books. But if/when I do, I'll be sure to leave a comment.

      Thanks, Roland!

I'm not sure what you mean by the Kindle version being more expensive. Peachpit's kindle version is $3 less. (You could argue that it should be much less as there is no paper and inventory, but that's a different issue.)

Oh, I bet you're referring to Liz Castro's epub book being so much more than the current “sale” price for her book.

I meant that on Amazon.com the printed book ($37.79) is cheaper than its Kindle version ($41.41). But I've taken this off-topic long enough now. Let's get some folks who've read the books to add their reviews and ratings :)
