Way to "Print Booklet" that starts on an even page number?

We produce catalogues which are split into different sections. Naturally, some of those sections start on an even/left hand page.

If we try to “Print Booklet” for proofing, it doesn't automatically add a first page, so our first page of the section (which is a left hand page) comes out on the right and all the pages are shifted over to the wrong side!

I can get around this by doing the following:

      1. Dragging a new spread before the first page of the section. (Dragging a single page doesn't work as it shifts all the even pages over onto the right.)

      2. Adjust the page numbering so the pages are still correct.

      3. Print the booklet using a page range starting on the second page.

We find all of this a bit of a nuisance and it would be nice if there were an easier way. I feel there should be a checkbox somewhere in the “Print Booklet” dialogue saying: “Include blank first page where necessary”. But I can't find one.

      Any ideas?
