Watermarks added in InDesign vs. Acrobat?

      Are there any benefits to adding watermarks in InDesign versus Acrobat? I need to add the same watermark to about 35 different documents (20+ pages each), and was debating if it would be better to add them in InDesign or Acrobat — it is about the same amount of work either way.

      All of the files will have a watermark and then I will add some security restrictions within Acrobat, so I need to use Acrobat no matter what.

      My thought was if I add the watermark within Acrobat, that people could technically remove that security and watermark using 3rd party software. If I add in the watermark within InDesign, it seems like it might make it even more difficult to remove it.

      Does anyone have any experience with this or have any suggestions one way or the other? I’m sitting on the fence, just trying to figure out which side to hop onto.
