I need to create artwork for wall graphics that will be printed on self-adhesive wallpaper. The biggest wall is 11,000 x 2,700mm at actual size.

My question is, what is the largest page size I can create with InDesign? I intend to have a photoshop montage image as the background so scaling this all down would be ideal.

I thought it best to put the question out on the forum, as in my experience large format digital printers do not always give the best advice on matters such as this – but I will ask.

      Thanks

Ask your printed what the effective print resolution is (even if you don’t trust them). You can do the doc size you want in InDesign but a Photoshop montage at 300ppi would be untenable.

Largest page size in ID is 216 inches square.

Some terrific suggestions by Alan Gilbertson on creating BIG graphics here:

The Big Design article was very useful, going to be testing using settings suggested over the weekend.

Just a thought, what about converting the large background image from raster to vector – would this be a viable solution? I would want it to look like a “photo” so what would be the best workflow for this?

      Thanks
