      Hello,

I've just started a document and it seems as though whenever I look in the layers panel I'm seeing the layers from every page in the document whereas I'd like to see only the layers of the page or pages I'm working on.

      Is that possible?

      Thanks,

      Kelly

No, InDesign is not designed to do that. Layers are document wide.

Good grief, just imagine they were not! To hide some stuff you'd need to deselect the layer on each page, one at a time.

No don't have that option… but what is stopping you from having a layer called Page2 or what have you. would make the layers pallet busy but your could work it that way, sort of.

Yeah that's all I was trying to do, unclutter the layers pallet a bit. I'll get used to it I'm sure. Thanks for the reply.

Maybe I should lay out my document differently. In my case I've got a first page, a cover essentially, that has no repeating elements no master pages attached to it, so does my TOC for that matter. Just for tidiness sake I'd like to be able not to have them in the layers panel when I'm working on other pages. No biggie though, I can tough it out. Thanks for the reply.
