I’m working on my first interactive pdf in InDesign, started as a print doc because I’m more used to inches and I had to get a comp out fast. It’s done now and all I need to do is get one button to be an interactive link and output for screen viewing.

I am wondering if I can just make the one button into a link and output this still as a print document when I export, If I make sure all colors are rgb and images rbg, or should I bite the bullet and start over as web document? What resolution should the images be, so they would look ok if people zoom in?

I do have access to David’s Lynda.com basics on creating interactive documents in his Essential Training for InDesign 2017.

Thanks for any and all guidance!.

Hi Jackie, in these days a lot of print pdfs are also available as a web-pdf. It would be a nightmare, if we must start from scratch and go with a web-doc. So go with your print file, put your button on the page and export for interactive (not print).

Thank you so much — that’s a relief. Another related questions — they gave me a huge long url to link this button too — David’s demon on Lynda was just a simple .com. Would this one work?
