Hi. I’m new to this forum so let me apologize in advance if this has already been asked. I did search for it but didn’t see this discussed anywhere.
I work with a team of three designers at a small print shop and we have, for the past year (maybe more), had issues with finding and applying some of the new Pantone swatches in inDesign. For instance, Pantone 2143 C is one of the new colors that when searched for in the new swatch dialogue, cannot be found.
We recently purchased new Pantone books (January 2016) and through that purchase were eligible to download the Pantone Color Manager software, which, through some searching on the “internet webs,” discovered was our ticket to updating our color libraries in inDesign, and other creative cloud apps, as well. However, when we followed the instructions (found those here: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1702731 ) on how to do so, there were still colors that we could not find. At first I thought it had something to do with the way inDesign sorts the colors so I spent about 10-15 minutes scrolling from the beginning to the end of the entire library to see if I could find the color I was looking for (2143 still). It appears that some colors present in my swatch books, simply aren’t in the digital libraries. Can this be possible or is there just something I’m not doing correctly when loading the libraries? PLEASE HELP!
