Hi everybody !
Can someone help there ? I just want to know if it possible to update a master when I override it in a documen… Let me explain it clearly
what I want to do is the following in Indesign it’s about Master page… First, for example I’ve placed different elements (id cards for students) in my master page… I use them in my document pages where I override them… Second I go back to my Master page made some new changes (the owner told me to change a date for validity) and want them to be updated in my pages (overridden) but but it doesn’t work at all… How to do ? I’ve understood through my reading that when you override the link will be broken with the master page is that true ? How to do it if that’s not true ? Or how do you do to go quicker ? changes are simple 2013 replace 2014 in all the id cards, I got 127 cards on 18 pages….
peace out !
Your Master pages should have info that shows up on every card.
The info that is different should be on the regular page.
If you want to change info on the Master page, select the master page from the pages menu. Then change that info.
Remember you can also do a “Find Change” To change info in both places.
