When I click and delete my unused colors there are still a handful of color swatches that do not delete. These are not colors being used by logos, links or ANY elements in my document. When I change to spot and look for what is being used NOTHING shows up.

Any idea how to get the system to delete these? I can change them to un named swatches, but I want to do this all at once.

      Thanks!

Some colors — such as Paper, Registration, and Black — cannot be deleted. For others, try: https://creativepro.com/color-swatches-that-wont-delete.php

Not those colors… sorry I wasn’t more specific.
The option to delete isn’t ghosted. I am able to delete these colors, just not with “select all unused”.
The problem is that the system wants to replace with another color. It makes me nervous thinking it really is being used when it is not.
The swatch color isn’t being used anywhere at all!

If you see a dialog box saying that it wants to replace with another color, then it IS being used.
But sometimes it is not used in an obvious place.
For example, cyan is the color used in Paragraph Shading, and even though you may not have paragraph shading enabled in any paragraph styles, it is technically “burned in” to the Basic Paragraph Style.
So if a paragraph or character or object or table or cell style uses a color (even if it is not applied anywhere), then InDesign gives you that dialog box.

These are docs that have absolutely no styles, shading, etc…

Just some random leftover cmyk mixes.

      Thx for your help

Any chance when the art was created that there is stuff on the art pasteboard that uses those colors? Or a layer that was no longer used (and is hidden)?

Nope, this will happen on docs with only one layer and all is active.
