I am using CS6 and one thing I do every month is edit a newsletter which consists of entries from several different sources, each of them their own Indesign file. My usual practice, ever since at least CS4 has been to open both my document I am working in and another source document side by side and then, with the pages pallet up, highlight all the pages in the other document and drag and drop them into my working document, inserting usually at the end of the document. Up until CS6, when I did this the pages would simply insert into the working document and work would continue normally. However, with CS6, now when I do that Indesign automatically inserts a new section into my working document, which often causes spreads to break (I have allow pages and spreads to shuffle on) as I often have to move pages around in the document. This means I have to stop my workflow and delete the new section start manually. Is there any way to make Indesign CS6 behave like CS5 did, and not insert a section break every time I drop new pages into my document?
Thanks in advance, look forward to hearing from someone. yachin
