Trouble with master page items when exporting Book to PDF

      I'm having a problem with the “Export Book to PDF” feature in the flyout menu of the Book palette. I have a master page applied to a spread. I overrode two master graphic elements on that spread and deleted them. When I export the book using the Book to PDF feature the elements from the master page still show up on the spread. I tried exporting just that spread from the File menu, and the graphics I deleted didn't show. Any ideas what might be going wrong?

      Are you using CS6? Did you upgrade to 8.0.1?
