      Does anyone know how to ‘collapse’ or just show the first line of paragraph 3 in the TOC?
      I have tried lotsss of alternatives but, in the end, it always shows up the entire paragraph :(

      What do you mean by “paragraph 3”? Is that the name of the paragraph style?

      You may be able to do this with a cross-reference instead of a table of contents… that is, you would build your TOC out of x-refs. But even that might not work.
