The text in my book needs to get significantly larger is there a way to automatically add in page sizes so that the text doesn't get overset?

I recently put together a book and my client told me that they want to make a version of the book with much larger text for visually impaired people. Of course when the text gets bigger it becomes off set at the end of the chapters. Is there a way for InDesign to automatically add in more pages to a document and flow the offset text onto those pages? I ask this because I know there is a way for InDesign to automatically add more pages when you import the text so I thought there may also be a way to do this for text that is already laid out on the page.

If you have CS4 or CS5 then you can turn on Smart Text Reflow in the preferences (Preferences > Type). If you're not using master text frames you'll need to untick the box marked 'Limit to Master Text Frames'.

But you'll probably need to do more than just increase the font size to make it readable by people with poor sight. There are guidelines at https://www.rnib.org.uk/profess…..print.aspx and https://www.textmatters.com/our….._impaired/ – in case you haven't already seen them!

Nice bit of info, have stored that away for later reference.

I tried the Smart Text Reflow and it mostly worked. It added in about 20-30 pages but I noticed that it left some of the offset text offset. I think this might have happened since there were some text blocks that directly followed other text blocks and there was no way to expand the text block since another text block was in it's way.

That was interesting information you provided for people with poor sight. It will come in handy as I am putting this together. Thanks!
