I’m working on some text that has a Paragraph Style applied to which is defined as “Overpass 8pt Light”, however the text stat block in the header lists it as Overpass 8pt Black. The confusing thing is, NO character styles are applied nor is the Paragraph style for that text listed as overridden. I’m at a loss as to why this is happening. Please help!

UPDATE: UGH…I had a “BLACK” nested style that was being applied. FIXED!

Glad you figured that out! Yeah… character styles can sneak in like that.
Tip: You can place your cursor in the text and then look in the lower-left corner of the Character Styles panel to see if a style is being applied as part of a paragraph style.
