Text is dull

      I’m pretty new to InDesign and I’m making a flyer. I can add text to the flyer in a vibrant red and it works just fine. When I add a short line of dots the color is a very subtle dull red (almost a dull pink). Also I typed some text on a path, but that text is also a dull red. I have used the same red in all three instances, but am getting two different results. Does anyone have an idea of why that is happening. Thank you

      Are you sure the objects are not set to any kind of transparency? Or a tint of the red?

      Transparency can cause colors to change… that doesn’t sound like the problem here, but just in case, I’ll include this link:
