Template Layer

      Excuse me, I have been working in Photoshop lately and forgot how to do this simple thing in InDesign. I am using a template layer to recreate a newsletter from scratch. How do I reduce the opacity of that layer?

      You cannot change the opacity of layers in InDesign, you'll have to select the objects instead, and change those.

      Thank you Jongware.

      It's confusing to go between the different Creative Suite applications. Features in one that you expect in another can lead to some high frustration. I fully expected a checkbox in the layer options dialog box for “template” in InDesign like there is in Photoshop.
