    Hi there

    Is there any way to update Table of Authority automatically in InDesign? its possible in word document but i dont find any option in InDesign. The crucial thing is i have a book of 25 chapters and each chapter has its unique Indd.

    What is a Table of Authority?

    Table of Contents? There are Table of Contents tools under the Layout menu.

    I think an Index is what's needed here? I'm not well versed on InDesign Indexes.

    perhaps a TOC would do it though?

    I am not sure where the text is coming from. However, I wonder if perhaps it would work to assign a character style to the text in the document and then use the IndexMatic script to create the index/table?
