Table headers alone in frame

      Hi,

I’m relatively new to InDesign although I’ve been using Adobe products for quite some time so I’ve got a basic grip of some of the tools. I also know of basic functions such as linking frames, images and content into InDesign. Just so you know what kind of experience I have.

One thing I love about InDesign is the ability to link frames and have your content flow from frame to frame as the content grows, however, I’ve run into some trouble with getting this to work the way I want it to when it comes to tables.

This is what I want to achieve: https://imgur.com/avsKChp

As you can see, there is a header on both pages as well as a table divided into segments. As this is a kind of calender with text describing the different activities, I’d like the days to be distinguished from one another. For those of you who doesn’t speak Swedish, “Tisdag” is Tuesday, “Onsdag” means Wednesday and so on.

My problem is that you can’t really have a header alone in a frame and keep the table flowing below it (the header just jumps down and leaves the frame empty). Also, is there a way to make these kind of gaps in the table without making several tables? It would really simplify things as the table will span around 9 pages and moving things manually really isn’t that fun of a task.

Iv’e tried searching the topic but haven’t really found a satisfying solution to the problem, so hopefully you know of a way get this done. If something is unclear feel free to ask and I will try to explain what I try to do in a better way.

I’m on InDesign CS6 on a Windows 8 operating system.
