Like the title says, when I try to resize a table by dragging, I get no way to drag it from the left side of the table, only the right and top/bottom of cells. Mouse over left side of table will only give me the option to select rows. I find this to be extremely odd, since a text editor like MS Word can easily do this. Can somebody please tell me what I am missing here? My intention is to place two tables underneath each other, table 1 is full text frame width, table 2 needs to have an indentation from the left side of the text frame.

A workaround would be to use a less wide text frame for table 2, aligned to the right side of the page, but I can’t really believe this is what Adobe intended, because it’d be plain ridiculous if it’d work that way.

      Im on CS5.5

      Thanks!

Word and InDesign are very different, and there are many things Word can do that ID cannot (and vice versa). It is not helpful to compare them.

If you want the 2nd table indented, I suggest using a Left Indent setting on the paragraph that the table is in.

Awesome David, I’d probably never think of setting the paragraph indentation. Much appreciated!
