Strange Characters appearing

      We have just received some pages into our studio, that look OK on screen, PDF OK but when outputting a laser or to film weird spacing appears.

      I''ve turned on invisibles and the hidden character looks like 2 Colons together :: if I copy and paste into the Find/Replace window it appears as ^|^|, I've seen some strange things in the past but never seen this one.

      Can anybody tell me what this is??

      Darryl,

      These are two “thin space” characters. They are used for preceisely placing character spacing.

      Thanks Jake,

      I thought it was some kind of space but couldn't find it anywhere when I did a search on the net, at least now I can search and replace it, and hopefully stop the strange spacing when trying to output it
