      Hi all.
You can turn off ‘check for links’ in prefs (great) when no file is open.
But how do your turn off ‘check for fonts’ ? Is this also in prefs?
I often need to open lots of old files at once to check various things – other than fonts and links – and don’t want to be pestered by ID telling me I’m missing fonts for each of the docs I’m opening. It’s an unnecessary amount of click-throughs !
      Thanks

I don’t know of any way to stop that nagging but I completely agree this would be a wonderful feature! Hie thee to the feature request page, or the InDesign scripting page to see if someone can write one up.

      Feature requests: https://indesign.uservoice.com/
      InDesign scripting: https://forums.adobe.com/community/indesign/indesign_scripting

Depending on what exactly you need to check in those files, you may want to check out the free ID-Util from Markzware, which lets you inspect ID files without opening the program: https://markzware.com/products/id-util-macos/

Thanks for the that, AM – seems like an obv feature to have after thousands of users opening millions of docs!
I’d no idea you could submit script requests!
      Cheers
