      Hi everyone! I’m a bit confused. I have a book created on Indesign How I fix a BIG space between pages.

      Here is a link with the screenshot of the issue. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/y3u2qhq5cxk3eba/AACAMeZ9amT-GCTZpBzX0UJaa?dl=0

      I recently discovered by accident that when you get those enormous spaces between pages, it means there’s an object on the pasteboard above or below one of the pages in your document. If you zoom out with your pasteboard viewing turned on, you should be able to find that object, or objects, and move them to the area beside your page, rather than above or below.

      I don’t see evidence of such on your screen shot, but they can be difficult to spot, as they’re usually *almost* right off the edge. Can’t hurt to check!

      Hope that helps!

      Using the page tool to enlarge a page on a spread will expand the pasteboard. If one returns the page to its original size, the pasteboard usually snaps back but, if an object has been left on the expanded pasteboard, as Patti wrote, the gap will remain. The thin blue line to the left in your screen shot indicates that this is the case.

      I’ve had that problem, although it didn’t show it in the palette. Instead it was in the actual pages. I’d scroll for 20 seconds or more to get to my next spread. And it sometimes happened for no reason at all. Sometimes when dragging an object from my library and InDesign decided to drop it between the spread, and sometimes, all I was doing was scrolling down.

      My only work around was to add a spread BEFORE the offending spread, and relink. And then delete the spread with the huge gap afterwards.

      Hi everyone,

      Thanks for the help. My partner fix the error. It’s like Patti said, there was an invisible Text Frame pushing everything down. -Thanks again. :)

      Also, Preferences->Guides & Pasteboard->Pasteboard Options
      Make your horiz/vertical margins huge (like 10 inches, etc)
