Continuing the saga of the hard drive … for months (years?) I would select “Never Register” … Creative Suite CS3 was fine. When the repair shop reinstalled it on my replacement hard drive, I’m now getting this warning. Activate the software or the I can’t use the program after 30 days … I’m now down to 22 days …
Basically, Adobe says the program is no longer supported. I don’t want support, I just want to use my program I paid $800 (used) back in 2008. Essentially, this is the politician’s way of saying, “We want you to pay more.” They aren’t preventing me from activating software, but “the support is no longer there.” With a few keystrokes, they could allow me to keep using the software.
I’m having agita as I don’t really want to pay $600 a year for the basic programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). I considered subscribing to InDesign and using the Affinity versions of Photoshop and Illustrator … or just abandoning Adobe altogether, but that seems a little hysterical and perhaps detrimental to me.
Any suggestions? (I know, I know, “Time to ugrade…”)
