Smarter Live Captions

      I’m trying to use live captions in a way that’s a bit more advanced. Imagine that I have an InDesign page with two pdf’s placed on the page. I want to create a caption that auto-populates the pdf’s file name and dimensions in inches. Alternatively, I want to use the filename to link to a MS Excel file, pull the data from two cells (dimensions and material) and place that in the live caption.

      Is this process even possible? Would it require a special plugin? Maybe a javascript based code?

      Any advice would be appreciated.
