      Hi Everyone,

I'm creating a template file. There's an empty page in it where I will insert linked text in the future (page 6 on Fig. 1). After this page I have the back cover of the document and it's a new section. I use smart text reflow, to make sure that pages will added as I insert the linked text. 'Add pages to end of section' is selected. When I insert the text (holding down the shift key), it inserts a new textframe on the back cover too and add pages after it no matter that this is a new section and I want those new pages to be inserted before this. (Fig. 2)

What am I doing wrong? Is there a solution to make it work?

      Thanks in advance.

I have the solution to my problem again and share it here if someone else has the same problem. My document in question was originally created in CS5 and I just saved it as a new file in CS6. When I created a new document in CS6 Smart Text Reflow started to work like it has to. So I guess the problem was the origin of the file.

This happened to me too, it seems when you create master pages based on other master pages, it simply won't work. In addition, if you have existing text inside your master page element – it won't work!

Create a new master text object!

It is what worked for me – but dang, it took a while to figure out.
