      Hello everyone,

Is there a way to create a slashed zero using a font that isn’t OpenType? Right now I’m using Arimo (which is a TrueType font) and therefore i can’t use the option to make is a slash. Is there a way to create your own glyphs in indesign so that I could make my own…and then use a find/replace feature to change all zeros in a character style to that glyph?

The easiest solution is go change fonts, but that’s not an option right now.

      Thanks
      Scott

I’m afraid you can’t create your own glyphs or font characters in InDesign.

You would have to set the zero, then the slash and kern it back. You could just make the one and then copy it. Then search and replace that way. The only problem would be if there are different font sizes in your job.

To search and replace, first copy the slashed zero you have created. Search for the zero and replace it. But leave the replace field blank. Instead go to the pull down menu and select “other” and then “clipboard contents formatted.”

That’s all I can think of.
