      hi!

we’ve got a document with alternative layouts.
Every layout has it’s own purpose, like desktop printer, professional printer, etc…

When we use the export function from the Data Merge Tool, we usually get ALL pages exported.
Is there any possibility to skip certain pages from being exported?

We could certainly generate a document for each alternate layout, but then the content is no longer linked…

      many thanks
      Hans

No, that is a limitation of the (very badly designed) Alternate Layout feature. And Data Merge does not know anything about alternate layouts.

      yes, that’s really annoying.
(I’d say that the preferred solution would be to mark whole pages as “non-printable”)

I once catched up a thread for normal prints (not data merge) with a scripting solution. A certain “field” within the page prevented from printing. Not sure if this could work here as well?
