When I export a 13-chapter book to pdf, it all exports as spreads, as it should, with one exception: When the first page of a chapter begins on a left-hand page, it exports as a single page. Is there a way to tell InDesign to add the first page of a chapter to the last page of the previous chapter to combine the pages into a spread? I would rather not have to add a blank page so that each chapter begins on a right-hand page.

Instead of exporting as spreads, export as normal pages, but use this trick to make it look like a book: https://creativepro.com/make-it-look-like-a-book-in-the-acrobat-pdf.php

      Thank you! That works.
