      Hi,

Is it possible to select all tables in a story or document at once? I want to apply a style/formatting to all my tables in a long document; but it is so time-consuming doing it one by one.

I believe this was also asked here:

      https://creativepro.com/for…..all-tables

No good answer… sorry… a script could probably do it.

      Hi David,

Thanks for prompt reply. Do you know of any script or plug-in, please?

This is my first request and I hope you can help as I have searched everywhere for a script to do this.
I have an Indesign document that is a complicated calendar template
the months are all tables :1 x ROW with either 28,29,30,31 cols.
However, the grid which these above contain many rows (12) and col(37)
If I try any of the selection scripts then these change all the tables in the entire document including the base grid.
So I need to be specific about selection!

I need to select and change the column spacing for the first and last cell for each of the 4 date single rows (28,29,30,31 cols)

Is it possible to select say, tables with 1 row and 28 cols and reassign a col width for the first and last cell?

There are 12 x 7 (84) single rows to change, so a script would be brilliant for this.

Any help would be much appreciated
(BTW I know how to copy/paste/position scripts in Indesign….have performed this at least 30 times today!)

      Thanks, Michel,
      I thought so too.
      I like your brevity,
Should I be asking very specifically, is there a script on this forum that does this job?
It is nice to know someone looks at the question, so thanks for that too.
Any advice on where i should look would be appreciated

      Imho, no! Too specific demand.

I thought it may be beyond even the greatest minds on this site…..even yours, but thank you so much for replying, really appreciate it, usually these question stay in the ether.

I could do it! … But no time!

Maybe someone on Adobe Forums! …

      Best,

I’m probably way off the mark here, but have you tried Gerald Singelmann’s table column script? https://www.indesign-faq.de/en/autocolumn2

Andrew, it would be easier, if you spent a idml-example with highlighted cells to change.

I read your task twice and if I do not understand then, I quickly lost the desire for an answer ;-) Sometimes people confound cells with rows or what is the first and last cell in which row … ?

btw: I’m wondering about your styling. Why column tables instead of textframes?

      Kai
