Select and apply same alteration to multiple text boxes?

      Hi Indesigners, I wonder if anyone can help with this – is it possible to 'Select Same' in Indesign (as in Illustrator) and then apply the same change to all text boxes selected? I'm want to resize multiple generic text boxes at the same time, rather than go in and amend each one manually – would there be a script or something for this?

      Resize one text frame. Then select the other text frames and go to Object>Transform>Transform Again Individually

      But you can only do this per spread, as selections cannot be made if they are not on the same spread.

      I remember seeing a script or plug-in to “find similar” some time ago, but can't find it now.

      In the meantime, you can use the Find/Change dialog box to find similar objects:

      There are some things that find/change cannot accomplish easily. It is very difficult to do a proper “find where this color is used” search. For that, you might look at the https://www.blatnertools.com plug-ins.

      Simpsons: 1996 – You Only Move Twice

      Mr Bunt is Hank Scorpios nemesis in a Simpsons episode where they moved house. Well, Hank Scorpio (pictured) is a villain and Mr Bunt is loosely based on James Bond. Hank has Mr Bunt strapped to a table with a cutting laser edging towards him. Hank tells Mr Bunt his plan, as all villains do in spy movies, to an apparently helpless secret agent. After divulging his diabolical plan Hank says:

      Hank Scorpio: Ingenious, isn't it, Mr. Bunt?

      Secret Agent: Scorpio, you're totally mad.

      Hank Scorpio: Hah. I wouldn't point fingers, you jerk.

      Secret Agent: So, do you expect me to talk?

      Hank Scorpio: I don't expect anything from you, except to die and be a very cheap funeral.

      {walks off}

      Hank Scorpio: You're going to die now.
