      Hi

I choose “Select All Unused” feature from “Swatches” panel, and it can’t find any ?unused swatches, that is great but I see a color in the list that I can’t find in my spread where it’s applied to!. How can I ?find the specific color (in this case, a light blue color) that is in my Swatches panel while I can’t see and find in my ?layout?? Also I have this problem/question in Adobe Illustrator in complex artwork.

      Thank you

The first thing I would try is changing that light blue to a really bright color that may show up when you go back through looking for it.

Are there any hidden layers or links that use it? Check the layers panel.
Is there a (possibly unused) paragraph/character/object style that uses that swatch?
Is it on a master page that isn’t used, or an overridden master page object?

You may just need to update/upgrade. Pasting text into InDesign was adding a cyan swatch.

Finally found it, it’s a tiny object out of my spread in pasteboard that I don’t know how it’s created and how went there! Thank you for suggestions and things that cause problem like this and useful solves for it. Need to be more careful and cautious.
