Seeing objects move?

      Hi there

      No, i don’t have a poltergeist!

When i first installed indesign i remember that when i selected an object and moved it slightly, as i moved it i could see what i was doing. Now for some reason when i move something i can only see it after i have moved it. Which makes refinements a little bit more difficult. Have i hit an option button by mistake? Do i have a ghost in the machine?

Any help would be much appreciated.

      Thanks and best wishes

Does it work differently if you hold down on the object for a second or two before moving it?

Thanks again David! You’re a star!

Andy, you can make InDesign show an immediate preview if you want, like how you said it used to work. Go to Preferences > Interface, and at the bottom in the Options area, change the setting for Live Screen Drawing from “Delayed” to “Immediate.”
