I am a total script and plug-in noob, so please ignore any inadvertent ignorance on my part. I’m looking for a script that will change all caps to UPPERCASE since all caps is a problem for ereaders. I have been up and down the numerous websites and forums and found the *PERFECT* thing. It is a Search and Change Case script by Thomas Silkjaer: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&extid=1801024

The problem, other than that the script is from 2009 and I’m running CS6, is that the “Download Now” link takes me to the wrong place. Does anyone have this script or know where I can get an equivalent one?

Any advice and/or info would be greatly appreciated!

I have the script and it works in CS6. But you can’t select a paragraph style, or All Caps . . . you have to search for a GREP string. Will that work for you? Doesn’t sound like this will do what you want.

Dave Saunders wrote a script that worked in CS2, but not later versions. So, a few others got together and updated it. I just tried it and it works in CS6. You have to apply a character style to the ALL CAPS text and run the script (the script searches by character style). Then, either remove that character style or just change its case to normal to remove the All Caps and you’ll see that the text is still all uppercase.

Here’s the link to the script:

Thanks for your help! The search by character style script is exactly what I needed and worked like a charm!
