      Hi Indesign gurus,

      I need some help.

I would like to create some kind of Script/Nested style or GREP style that converts the plain text (in the right textbox) to the styled text (in the left textbox).

      Please see enclosed screenshot.

Can that be done in some kind of ( script/Nested style or GREP style ) workflow… or do I have to do it manually?

      :-)

      Thanks,

      Jesper

What you need to do is

Edit your Header style and make the Body Text the Next Style

In the body text style – make the Before Price the Next Style

In hte Before PRice style – make the Price Now the Next Style

Then in the Object Styles for the Text Frame – make the Header Style the default Paragraph style and tick the Apply Next Style

      Hi Eugene

      Thanks a lot!!

It works perfect… and good idea with the Object Style to speed it up!

Do you know if it is posible to create some kind of “find-and-replace” string that removes the “HEADER”, “BODY”, “BEFORE PRICE” and “PRICE NOW” texts…?

      Hi

      you could try an alternative

      ^HEADERr|^BODYr|etc.

Before r there is an antislash.

      Hi Tournier

Thanks… but is it a GREP style or where should I put this code:

      ^HEADERr|^BODYr|etc.

      Please see enclosed Screenshot.

      :-)

Tournier, on this forum you need to put two to get one

Jesper – what you need to do is use Find/Change and go to the GREP tab.

      Then search for

      ^Headerr|^Bodyr

^ means only find at tthe start of a paragraph

      r means any line break

      | means OR

      So you are finding

Header line break OR Body line break OR etc.

So whatever you need to add to the search can be done like so

      ^Headerr|^Bodyr||^Before Pricer

and just keep separating your searches with the pipe “|”
