I am working on a new edition of a book that has grown by two pages in the middle of the book. I have a memory of a script that would search out page ranges and then could increase it by a set amount (in my case, anything from pages 204–422 becomes 206–424 [+2]). I have done an exhaustive search online and can’t track down anything that would work.

Anyone know of a script that can do such a miracle?

I was looking at that script but it felt like a money script. Have you worked with it before? Can I simply tell it to ADD +2 to all numbers in an index in a certain number range? I’ll give it a try to see if it can work the magic I need. Thanks!

After running a quick test, this script is amazing but won’t work for my specific needs. It does not have the ability to only update numbers in a certain range as it simply updates an entire story or document.

I assume that you didn’t use InDesign’s index feature, right? So you can’t just re-generate the index?
