      Hi Al

just wondered if anyone might be able to help me with something, which I feel is probably possible but never having dealt with any scripting etc I don’t really know how to go about it.

Basically I have to put together a diary 3 times a year and have various different styles set up for date headings, calendar entries etc.

I’ve sped things up by using find/change to change the paragraph style of lines with the days of the week in to become the Date heading style, and I simply go through all seven days one at a time and change all the lines for that day which works nicely.

However for the line directly before the date lines I need to change the line to a slightly different calendar entry which has a rule below it and extra space after it.

I was wondering if there was any way to have a script which looks for the paragraph style ‘Date Headings’ and then could change the paragraph style of the line before the Date Heading line to be my ‘Diary Entry Last’ paragraph style as this would dramatically speed up my working.

In case that doesn’t make a great deal of sense I’ve done a little diagram to help explain.

Any help anyone could give me would be hugely appreciated

      Thanks

Hi, can you please provide a copy of the exact text here. As I read, you can easily find the text to apply the Date Heading style, similarly, that text can be used to find the line above it and hence your expectations can be met easily using GREP-Find/Change.
