    Hi all,

    using:

    Indesign CC 2015
    Windows 8.1

    details:

    I’m having issues getting my numbered and lettered lists to restart after being interrupted by one another. To clarify, the lists currently look like:

    1.

    a.
    b.
    c.

    (then, on same page)
    1.

    d.
    e.
    f.

    I would like them to go:

    1.
    a.
    b.

    2.
    a.
    b.
    etc.

    They also refuse to continue onto the next page, so the following section also starts at 1. I have the lists set up so that they restart at the last number applied; is this a levels problem, or something else?

    PS: for lists that I made that go numbered and then bulleted, the problem goes away. On the same page, it will be:
    1.
    (bullet)
    (bullet)

    2.
    (bullet)
    (bullet)

    but, on the following page it once again resets at 1.

    Any help is greatly appreciated, I feel like I’ve been redoing settings and trying different options for ages now.

    Numbering is tricky. Here’s one “trick” that might help: https://creativepro.com/managing-tips-between-numbered-lists.php
    Search the site for other numbering tutorials, too.
