Repurposing an InDesign File… Two version of the same file (and content)

      Hello all,

      Maybe someone else has come across a similar challenge and can offer some advice on the best way to approach this?

      I have a 20 page catalog which the client also wants to print as a separate, but similar document using only 8 pages from the original 20 page document (all the content is the same… they would just like a smaller version of the file). I ended up creating 2 individual documents. In scenarios like this would anyone suggest a different way to use the one InDesign file to accomplish this? Maybe create all the pages as Master Pages so they are built in the file and when ready to make print ready and/or export as a PDF or print?

      There is always more than one way to acomplish most anything and any other approaches would be interesting to discuss.
