      Hi Guys,

With the recent update of InDesign, it seems as thought when i try to type to replace highlighted text, it takes one extra keystroke to start filling in the highlighted text. Does anyone know of a preference that will switch this back?

EX: if i wanted to change “1989” to “1988”, if i highlighted the “9”, i would have to type the “8” twice to replace the section.

That doesn’t sound right! Did you try Story Editor to make sure it’s not entering the characters twice?

Edit > Edit In Story Editor

Otherwise, sounds like a memory problem or *gasp* Reset Preferences.
