Renaming Multiple Links from within InDesign?

      Hi,

      I read a topic on this forum about how to rename a link from within InDesign, but now I'm looking for a way to rename multiple links simultaneously from within InDesign.

      I have Rename4Mac, which is a great utility, but after I use it I need to go back into InDesign and manually re-link to all my updated names. We also have a utility that runs from within InDesign but you can only do a text-based search and then only one character at a time (unlike Rename4Mac which is much more powerful, uses RegEx, etc.)

      I work for a publisher updating to a new archiving system and we are faced with the prospect of having to add ISBNs to literally ten thousand links in thousands of archived files. I need something that works within InDesign but is powerful and flexible too.

      Any ideas? Thanks!

      I'd be interested in this too, if such a thing is available. A script maybe?

      I seem to recall seeing a plug in called Links Manager (not what it's called but can't recall it's name, not very helpful I know) – will research that
