I'm running InDesign CS4 on OS X Lion. When trying to remove a specified color from a paragraph or character style, Command clicking the color used to replace the specified color with an inherited color. Since upgrading to Lion, this no longer works for me. Once I choose a color I'm stuck. I can apply new colors, but I can't remove an applied color. Does anybody have any clue?

      Thanks,

      KC Jones

For Paragraph Styles you cannot remove (ignore) Colour, at all. You can set it to NONE but it always has to have a swatch selected.

For Charcater Styles you can set it to Colour or you can choose to CMD/CTRL select the swatch and a gray “?” appears in the Colour Proxy area – which means that it will use the Paragraph Style colour definition – or you could use the Colour “None”.
