    Hello all

    i am new to indesign,

    i am preparing a pdf file using Indesigncs4,

    whenn i place an image in indesign file,it looks well but when i export it to pdf, it lost its clearity,

    it seems to be blur,

    how to remove this

    You might check you Export dialog settings. If you used preset for [Smallest file size] there is an image compression – under Compression section on the left side. If you need this for print, than you have to choose [Press quality] with image quality 300 ppi.

    Another possible thing is, that your image is not linked. Check your Links panel and see if there are any warnings. If so, you have to link them in order to display them properly in PDF.

    will u please tell me how to set the values for export option??

    i checked my link panel, there are no error regarding linking images,

    but i am not getting how to set the values for export option, and main thing at what resolution i place the image in indesign,
    i use the photoshop cs4 for changing the image size and resolutiom.

    i need ur guidance,

    Images for print should be 300 dpi.
    Export settings are explained here https://www.serviceprinters.com/help/tutorials/make-pdf.html

    i think it looks still blur image in the file,,

    With PDF I cannot see the size of an image. Does your image has 300 dpi? If not, than maybe that’s the reason of your blurry image. Or maybe your image isn’t big enough (pixel size).
