I have what seems to me to be a simple question, but I can't find an answer anywhere. I am using InDesign CS6. I frequently use tables with no stroke or fill to help me line up text easily. What I am wondering however is whether there is some “view table” feature that I am missing somewhere.
In order to effectively enter text into the tables when I start creating the document, I need to be able to see the height and width of the rows and columns. Of course, I can create a fully stroked table, and then when I have finished editing it, I can apply a table style to the table that removes all of the strokes. But, sometimes I run afoul of the human error, and forget to change the table style, leaving the strokes in there to taunt me.
I just upgraded to CS6 from CS3 (okay, so my company is a little slow on the uptake), and I don't remember having this issue in CS3, but I could be wrong.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer…and thanks in general for this site–it has really helped me maintain productivity in the face of this ridiculously giant upgrade learning curve.
