I have a publish online document that I’ve added a mailto link as both a button and hyperlink. It works perfectly on desktop, android, and Chrome on iOS. It doesn’t seem to be working on Safari.

I can press and hold on the hyperlink, but it doesn’t just go with a press as intended. It does nothing with the buttons. Is there a way to get this to work or is it a known issue?

I haven’t seen this. I did some searching and found that World Ready Composer was breaking some links, but that was supposed to be fixed already.

I wonder if this is just a Safari problem. Have you tried 2 or more Macs with Safari to see if it is a local problem?

The use-case for this is for a user to scan a QR code. It’s consistently not working on three iPhones using Safari.

It works fine on an iPhone using Chrome.

I just tried it, and can confirm that mailto links do not seem to work on safari in iOS.
I see that other people have reported things similar, such as:
