Program or printing issue? Color distortion

      Hi, I'm having an issue with my graphics I place on to a colored background. I'm trying to place images with their backgrounds cut out and cleared in photoshop into indesign so that it looks like the image is floating over my background. Simple right? Like, one the first things you learn right? Well. It looks great on my screen and in a PDF version, but when I print, the color background gets distorted withing the place holder frame that's holding my graphic. Is this something I should be correcting for in photoshop/indesign, or is it a printer issue? Any help would be fantastic. Thanks~
