If you put RGB jpegs into Indesign which have a potential ink coverage of more than 330% when you export and use the profile PSO Coated v3 (which has a Total Area Coverage limit of 330%) in Output and Convert to Destination (Preserve Numbers) will it then adjust the ink limits automatically because that is what the profile is telling it to do?

We had been asked to adjust the images in Photoshop first and save as CMYK and for some reason the Total Area Coverage remains more than 330% BUT when exporting to PDF does not have any effect on the final PDF and the Total Area Coverage remains above 330%

When adjusting the images in Photoshop must you first Edit>Colour Settings first and adjust the CMYK to PSO Coated v3, then Edit>Convert to Profile and adjust the CMYK output to PSO Coated v3.

      Any help would be appreciated
