Hi. I need help. I think I’ve really done things the complicated way.
I’ve formatted a 300 plus page book. Within this book, different pages have different frames. When the frames start to flow (as the writer asks me for more changes), the pages start to no longer make a bit of sense. What I realize is that I need to put the formatting in the styles for the text. So, for instance I’ve been using a different (larger) frame when my page starts with the chapter title so that the chapter title is higher on the page. But I’m now realizing that I SHOULD have kept the frame the same and found a way (in styles??) to have a page that does not start with a chapter title start lower on the page. This said, I can’t figure out how to do it. If I have a body text style, how can I say, “when this type of text is at the top of a new page place the beginning of the text at _____ spot??
Am I making any sense? Wouldn’t it be great to be able to draw pictures on this forum? Anyway, folks have helped me out a lot here before and I’d appreciate any ideas. I think I’ve made a real mess. I have access to the Lynda library if there’s a tutorial you can recommend…
thanks!
