      Hi,

I have a problem with my packages.

First, let me explain the workflow: I need to make a lot of separate short 2-page layouts for a magazine. After I finish, I always package the file and copy the package to a server. The problem is that even though I copied the entire package to the server, the directory of all images is still the original location.

For example: the package directory is desktop/issue01 and all images are in the directory desktop/issue01/links (as usual). However, when I move the package to server/client/issue01 the images keep linking to desktop/issue01/links. My colleague does the same, but his links automatically update to the new location ( server/client/issue01/links) without having to relink.

Is there some setting i need to adjust? I can’t find anything on this topic on the world wide web…

Thanks for any advice you might have!

      Edit: I'm using CS4

in the create package folder dialog be sure to check – Update Graphic Links. Also a quick way to relink your links is to select them all in the links panels and use the right fly down menu to “relink to folder” then you can relink all the links at once.

That's what i'm doing now all the time. The problem is that I need to relink the indesign files at a remote location and that's a very slow and tedious process…

Also, I have the update graphic links option checked, so that's not it…
