Hi, I need to print from InDesign CC to PDF. In InDesign’s Print dialogue there is a possibility to change the size of the output document in %. But if I change it to for example 150%, I also need the “Paper size” to be automatically changed to match the new document size. But HOW? Can someone help? Thanks.

I don’t think InDesign lets you print to PDF, does it?
You can print to postscript and run it through the distiller, but that’s icky.

Well, as a function of the Mac OS, you can “print” to PDF. I wish a scaling option was available for exporting PDFs. Don’t need to do so often, but when it occurs, it’s a pet peeve.

When I try, it says “The Save as PDF option in the Printer dialog is not supported.”

I think this was discussed here:

Yes, I received the same message when I could check it on a Mac. However, it does work with other applications such as TextEdit, Preview, and Print Window.

What if you allow the paper size to be “Defined by Driver”? Perhaps then when you “print” to PDF at 150% the post script driver will automatically decide what paper size is necessary… Just a thought. I’ve never had reason to try what you are trying.

That’s what this topic is all about. Option “Defined by driver” does not work this way unfortunately. It always keeps the “paper size” at document’s 100% so the result is cropped.
