I am trying to get a clear way to do this. I have searched the site, and I remember seeing a video on Lynda.com that had it, but for the life of me, trying to find it again is crazy. Soooo…with that said, I know…yadda yadda my printer sucks that they want it in printer spread format. However, this isn’t as simple as finding another printer. The printer is the company I work for. We are a small news-paper company, and getting the owner to spend money on new equipment is like trying to make peace in the Middle East. So, now that we got that out of the way, how can I do this?

In the past they have just made up a layout already mixed up (printer format), but then when I create the PDFs that we put to web, I am stuck going through them and reordering them. I figure there has to be a way to print it in printer spread format, but still be able to export the PDFs in regular order. Any help or a link or even video number would be great! Thanks!

You can use InDesign’s own “Print Booklet …” feature, it is available from the “File” menu. just make your doc in spreads, and use this feature, then it will output in the mixed up order :)
